Our Review Scoring System:

This site and all affiliated media utilizes a highly interpretative scoring system, based primarily on the SwitchRPG review scoring system. The categorizations are as follows:

Bad (1-3 out of 10): Games listed here should generally be avoided for reasons listed within the review. The worst will possess fundamental issues in terms of game design, the best will fail to have compelling gameplay, narrative, or structural elements.

Okay (4-6 out of 10): Games listed here are flawed, or possess particular quirks that make them difficult to recommend. They can be generic or attempting something wildly unique, but stumbling. However, they may lack elements that distinguish themselves enough from their contemporaries.

Good (7-9 out of 10): Games listed here will likely find wide appeal due to their unique characteristics. Whether they offer inventive takes on pre-established conventions or are standout in any other way, they are a safe recommendation for any RPG enthusiast.

Great (10 out of 10): Games listed here possess particular qualities that make them easy recommendations for the reviewer in question. This rating will be rarely implemented, but always requires an argument to be made. If you are a particular kind of enthusiast with a specific set of appeals, the review itself will state the case as to whether the game is a good fit for you or not.
